Rigid packaging control
Rigid packaging allows for highly sensitive leak detection. By “rigid” we mean: that which does not deform under the effect of external pressure.
The most common examples are vials, syringes, ampoules, made of glass or plastic.
Flexible packaging control
Flexible packaging deforms under pressure, making it incompatible with the method used for rigid products.
ASC Instruments has developed a specific testing method for these flexible envelopes, which can be used on a wide variety of packaging, such as packs, sachets, and pouches. Always non-destructive, of course.
Solutions for hybrid packaging (rigid/flexible)
Some packaging is partly rigid with a flexible element, which makes the choice of instrument sometimes less obvious.
